Completed Star Wars Room

This is how The Boy's room looked a few months ago:

Poor kid. That was pretty bad.

But, now he has this fantastic room to come home to:

Although, I think I like it better than he does. I mean, he likes it a lot. But, wow... the nerd in me finds this room so appealing.

Last time you saw the room several of you suggested that I move the dresser to the other wall. So, I did, and you were right. It is better there. Then we hung a Light saber Organizer where the dresser used to be, because it is good to have your weapon within arm's reach at all times.

We put up some drapes to add a little more interest. I also wanted to bring the navy color into other areas of the room. (I didn't hate the shutters, so I kept them, too.)

Are you eyeing that fabulous art on the wall? It might just be my favorite thing about the room.

So rad. But, probably only something Star Wars Nerds will enjoy. Coincidentally, my entire family enjoys it very much.

Add in The Boy's collection of Star Wars memorabilia, and the rest of the room came together very easily.

Do you have a Star Wars Nerd in your life? Buy them this book. It is so cool.

The pop ups are incredible. It's a very fun book for your favorite nerd.

When I saw this stuffed Yoda at Target, I couldn't resist it. I am such a sucker (for both Star Wars and The Boy).

Well, there you have it. I am quite pleased. I feel like it is an obviously Star Wars-y room while still maintaining a bit of style. But, maybe I'm just telling myself that because I want to believe it.

What do you think? Anything you think I should change?

Thanks for the showing that pop-up book! That will make a great Christmas gift for my own Star Wars fan (and as a fan myself, I think I'll make him share... LOL!) The room is great!

Thanks, everyone!

I got the posters on etsy: http://www.etsy.com/shop/SamSerlingSutton

But, it looks like he's raised his prices. I paid $12 for all six. Woohoo! I mounted the posters on foam board to make them more durable.

Where, oh where did you find your light saber hanger? I've been complaining for as long as we've been married that the tv doesn't need 3 sabers on top. Now I have a china cabinet with 1 in it. Save me.

Jennifer, it is just a tool organizer that I found at Home Depot for $16! You know, to hang up your rakes and stuff? Hee!

The room looks great. Do you recall what shade of dark blue you used to paint the accent wall?

I just love your room and I am using it for inspiration to update my almost 7 year old's room. Where did you get the Star Wars blanket and what colour is that blue on the wall?
